Sunset in rural Texas!
The cows running anxiously after their calves as the sun sets casting deep shadows in the tree line beyond, while the large tree captures the oranges and yellows of the setting sun which also illuminates the fresh spring grass with a rich yellow green.
I was driving on a country road between Dallas and Austin, near College Station when this remarkable scene unfolded before my eyes. Being a farmer's son who had a large cattle ranch in South Africa, I could not resist taking the photograph and enjoying the special moment.

I am an artist presently residing near Dallas, TX. My style is impressionist, abstract and modern. I use oils and acrylics. Favorite subjects are landscape, beach scenes, figurative and floral. Also like cows, horses and Western themes. People walking their dogs! This is a wide field, but strong, happy color and reducing the subject to its core, is my main interest. I believe art affects the viewer, so when people leave my site feeling inspired to see more, do more, and appreciate life a little more, then I have achieved my goal!
